Evaluation and licensing

WebPDF works on any domain from the first line, with every feature. Until a domain is licensed, its pages show a light watermark with the domain's name. This article explains where the watermark shows, how to remove it, and how to preview it.

The evaluation watermark

On a domain without a license, every page carries the watermark on screen, naming the real domain. It is an overlay: it never changes the page's layout, and the page works as usual under it.

Licensing a domain

Every plan has every feature: you pay for the domains that run without a watermark. A Site license covers one domain and its subdomains, and a World-wide license every domain and app. Tell us the domain or app and the plan at support@elefunc.com; once it is licensed, the watermark disappears there, with no change to your code. See Pricing.

Previewing the watermark

On a licensed domain, the watermark attribute shows the watermark anyway, as a preview: empty for the current domain, or with a domain name. Here it names another site:

Previewing the watermark

html
<pdf-file id=f src=//pdf.ist/web.pdf></pdf-file>
<pdf-page of=f watermark=your-site.com scale=0.4></pdf-page>

From script, set PDFPageElement.watermark; null removes the preview.
